Nominated as Centre of Excellence by Laerdal, Norway

Laerdal has designated CIHS as a Centre of Excellence and would collaborate to co-create training courses, i.e., content, simulation scenarios, etc. It assists in building capacity of trainers by conducting TOTs, provides onsite and offsite mentoring of master trainers and actively promotes CIHS at seminars, conferences and workshops.

Laerdal Global Health, a non-profit sister company of Laerdal Medical, based in Stavanger, Norway, supplies training and therapy products to over 95 low and middle income countries. Established in 1940, Laerdal is a major manufacturer of medical equipment and medical training products. By 2020, Laerdal Global Health aims to help save 4,00,000 lives, every year.

Co-certification of Emergency Courses with Society of Emergency Medicine India

The emergency medicine programs that CIHS will deliver are also in partnership with the Society of Emergency Medicine India (SEMI) and Alfred Health – Monash University (Australia). SEMI is the first Indian organization dedicated to the development of emergency medicine (EM) in India. Formed in 1999, it was responsible for the accreditation and popularization of the 1-year Fellowship in Emergency Medicine, the first formal academic training program in emergency medicine in India. SEMI conducts the EMCON National Conferences annually, the largest gathering of qualified emergency physicians in the country.


Elderly Care Certification Program with Global Health Alliance, UK

Another major partner in specialised course delivery is the Global Health Alliance, UK, who have joined hands with CIHS to offer a Certification Program for Clinical Nurse Specialist in Elderly Care. Global Health Alliance is an initiative aimed at delivering up-to-date short accredited courses and programs for health professionals, by experts from renowned universities and hospitals across the UK. The courses are meant for doctors, nurses, specialist nurses, paramedics, cardiac physiologists and the general public.

Accreditation/Funding Partner of National Skill Development Corporation, India

CIHS is now a funding partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), after a process of detailed review and due diligence. The affiliation with NSDC entrusts CIHS with the following responsibilities:

  • Catalyse the creation of sustainable and quality skills training institutions across the country.
  • Support and coordinate private sector initiatives for skill development through appropriate Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models.
  • Play the role of a "market-maker" by meeting the requirement of skills in the specific sector.
  • Prioritize initiatives that can have a multiplier or catalytic effect on capacity and quality of skilling in India.

NSDC addresses the need for providing skilled manpower across various industry sectors, under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt of India. It works to create and fund vocational training institutions, and create support systems for skills development.
